Anna is proud to launch a new program, STAND UP SERIES, directed towards the service and hospitality industry. Having worked in the service industry off and on since she was 16 years old Anna knows it well, every so often you can even see her helping out a friends restaurant! She looked around at her own community, a tourism and ski area, and saw a need to educate businesses, management and staff on recognizing and responding to signs of gender based violence. She notes that; “We like to think that each of our guests are safe and having a wonderful and consensual time, we all serve to please. But sadly, this is not always the case.” Statistics alone show us that sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, and other crimes are happening at our inns, restaurants, bars, and resorts every week. Through storytelling, facilitated conversation, statistics, exercises, and response Anna will teach attendees on how to recognize and respond to gender based crimes that may take place at their businesses, and how to support your staff. Additionally, Anna will give attendees tips and skills to empower their employees to safely serve guests while maintaining their agency and voice.
